Researchers and their work
Published and unpublished research created by different researchers is preserved as separate bodies of work. Where a particular person, place, record or family appears in more than one collection, those specific points can be compared without treating the collections as a single intertwined body of research.
Ann Brooks Kendall
Kendall's independent Quinn research includes her published work, personal notes and typed research cards, and her complete unpublished Abner Quinn Family work. Abner Quinn is a subject of Kendall's research, not a separate researcher.
Audrey Frady Rivenbark
Rivenbarks of Eastern North Carolina is Rivenbark's separate authored body of eastern North Carolina genealogical research. It is presented independently rather than being combined with Kendall's work.
Where research overlaps
Different researchers sometimes investigated the same person, family, place or record. Those specific intersections are shown where the underlying material supports them. An overlap does not imply collaboration and does not make the larger research collections one intertwined body of work.
